Admission and hours
Restrictions during Corona
Due to the corona virus, opening hours are restricted during the season 2020. As of july 14 opening hours are: Tuesday-Saturday 12:00-17:00 and Sunday 13:00-17:00. From september 1 our opening times are from Tuesday to Saturday 10:00-17:00 and Sunday 13:00-17:00.
There is free parking throughout the village of Warffum. Parking spaces near the museum can be found on Schoolstraat, the crossing of Oosterstraat/Noorderstraat and on Stationsweg. Bicycles can be parked next to the entrance to the museum on Schoolstraat. If you only visit the restaurant, bicycles can also be parked next to the entrance of the museum restaurant on Oosterkerkpad.
We advise coach drivers not to park in the Schoolstraat. The available space there and in the rest of the village center is too limited to be able to maneuver. Buses can park temporarily on the Oosterstraat, to let passengers alight and then continue to a suitable parking space at the harbour or at the train station.
The museum site (cobblestones) is reasonably to properly accessible by disabled people. Due to the historic, authentic nature of the museum, some buildings have limited or no access for rollators or wheelchairs. The accessible toilet is in the restaurant building. There is a limited number of wheelchairs available for use from the museum’s reception. It is possible to book a wheelchair by sending an e-mail to email@example.com or by calling +31 (0)595 42 22 33.
The museum permits guide dogs, assistance dogs and buddy dogs of people with a medical or care need. Other dogs or pets are not permitted to enter the museum.
